Who we are

MemoirMovies is operated by Archieboy Holdings, LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. By using MemoirMovies, you agree to these terms.

These MemoirMovies-specific terms supplement the master Archieboy Holdings, LLC Terms and Conditions, which also apply to Archieboy network websites and services.

What MemoirMovies is

MemoirMovies turns your book, usually a memoir, into a hand-drawn animated film. We write a screenplay from your book (or use your own screenplay exactly as written), draw a cast of the recurring people, places and things, voice the characters, add music, and make the film one part at a time for your approval. When we write the screenplay, the narration uses your own sentences: we may leave sentences out, but we never reword them.

Your manuscript and your rights

  • You must own the rights to (or have permission to use) any manuscript you upload.
  • You keep all rights to your manuscript and to the finished film. We claim no ownership of either.
  • We use your manuscript only to produce your film — never to train models and never for any other customer.

Voice cloning and likeness — important

  • If you record a voice for a role in your film, you confirm it is your own voice. The cloned voice is created solely for your film and is not shared or reused elsewhere.
  • If you upload photos of people, you confirm you have the right to use those images. Drawn character references made from photos exist only inside your project.
  • Do not upload the voice or likeness of a person without their consent, or of public figures for impersonation.

AI-generated content

The screenplay's scene directions, the drawings, the voices and the music are generated by machine-learning systems, and results vary. You approve the screenplay, the cast and each part before the next is made. Each part can be remade once with your notes, and the part editor lets you change pictures (with an allowance of about six new pictures per minute of film), re-record lines and move music.

Pricing and refunds

  • Each film has one price, set by the length of the book (or, for a screenplay you bring, its running time) and shown before you pay, from $799 to $4,499 for books of up to 110,000 words, as listed on the pricing page. Longer books are quoted individually. Payment is one-time, with no subscription, and uploading is free.
  • Because production costs are incurred as we make your film, payments are not refundable once production has begun. If something goes wrong on our side, contact hello@memoirmovies.com and we'll make it right.

Your files

Finished films and project media remain available in your account. We may move older delivered project files to archival storage; they remain downloadable. See the Privacy Policy for retention details.

Acceptable use

  • You must be 18 or older to purchase.
  • No unlawful content, and no content that exploits minors.
  • Do not attempt to extract underlying models or system prompts.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
